Common Questions

Before You Book a Painter

How much does professional painting cost?

Pricing depends on the size of the project, the surfaces involved, how much preparation is required and the products selected. The most accurate way to find out is a free estimate — we look at the actual project and give you a clear price.

Do you provide free estimates?

Yes. Estimates are free. Call (813) 368-8972 or send the estimate form and we will follow up to schedule a time.

How long will my painting project take?

Timelines vary with project size, surface condition and weather. We will give you an expected schedule with your estimate and keep you informed as the work progresses.

Do I need to move my furniture?

We ask that small or fragile items be put away. Larger furniture is typically moved to the center of the room and covered so the crew can work safely around it.

Do I need to buy the paint?

No. Materials are typically included in your estimate. If you prefer a specific brand, color or product line, let us know and we can discuss it.

How should I prepare before painters arrive?

Clear wall décor, personal items and breakables, keep pets in a comfortable separate area, and make sure exterior areas are accessible so we can reach walls and trim.

What paint finish should I use?

Flat and matte finishes hide surface imperfections, eggshell and satin work well in living spaces and hallways, and semi-gloss is common on trim, doors, kitchens and bathrooms. We will walk through the options with you.

How often should a Florida home's exterior be painted?

Florida sun, heat, humidity and rain are hard on exterior coatings, so homes here usually need repainting sooner than in milder climates. Chalking, fading, hairline cracks and peeling are signs it is time.

Can you paint stucco?

Yes. Stucco is common throughout Valrico and the Tampa Bay area, and it requires proper cleaning and preparation before coating.

Do you paint cabinets?

Yes. Cabinet refinishing is one of our most popular services and can update a kitchen dramatically without replacing the cabinets.

Do you perform commercial painting?

Yes. We paint offices, retail spaces, commercial buildings and rental or investment properties for owners and property managers.

Can you repair drywall before painting?

We handle minor drywall repair such as patching holes, dings and small damage so the finished walls look smooth.

Do you pressure wash before exterior painting?

Cleaning the surface is an important part of a professional exterior project. Pressure washing is available and is typically discussed as part of your estimate.

Can you help me choose colors?

Yes. We are glad to talk through color and sheen options, coordinate trim and accent choices, and help you feel confident about the final look.

What areas do you serve?

We are based in Valrico, Florida and serve surrounding Tampa Bay communities. Not sure if you are in range? Just call and ask.
